In the latest development in Japan’s attempts to deal with the phenomenon of revenge porn, things have taken an unusual turn. We readily associate revenge porn with men — but female partners can also be vengeful.
Japanese police have arrested a 25-year-old woman who attempted to exhort money from an ex-lover. She cut his clothes with scissors and took a nude picture of the man, demanding ¥2 million (about $17,000) in cash in exchange for not putting the images online.
Maki Oji, a company employee from Shinjuku, cut up the clothes and took the nude photos of the man from September 30th until the next day at her apartment. Her then lover was a man in his twenties.
She has apparently admitted her guilt to the police, who are still trying to establish a motive.
Perhaps she was just crazy? Or was this femdom that went out of control?
